  • Go to Google Webmaster Tool Dashboard and login. Now on the left side you will find the Crawl drop down option, there you need to click in ‘Sitemaps’.
  • Now, Click on ‘Add/test Sitemap’ for submission.
  • At this point, you will ask to provide the Sitemap URL of your site and you have generated earlier.
  • For example, the URL is http://www.xyx.com/sitemapindex.xml,you only need to paste xml portion of the link. Now, you need to click on ‘Submit Sitemap’.
  • As you complete the above steps, you will be asked to confirming the submission and to refresh the page, click on it to ‘Refresh the page’.

Note: New blog or site will take some time to show the index status of your site. Do not worry in case it does not paper soon.

  • Details like type, processed, issues, items, submission details and indexed detail will appear on the right hand side and now you are done with the submission of the sitemap to Google.
